There have been rare cases of sudden meat allergies over the last couple decades, but experts turned away from these cases under the assumption that it was NOT possible to obtain a sudden meat allergy. Specifically, the Lone Star Tick which has been known to carry a sugar molecule called Alpha-Gal that is injected into victim’s bodies while the tick feeds on the host. This molecule causes a re-programming of your bodies’ immune system and the result is a severe symptom such as vomiting, shortness of breath, etc. to manifest after consuming red meats.
