Vacuum Control
ZipVac's portable vacuum storage system allows
individuals to decide exactly how much air should be
removed from the vacuum storage bag. This allows users
to decide exactly how much compression should take place
inside the vacuum storage bag. Traditional heat seal
vacuum storage systems remove air to a preset level
that's determined at the factory. Once the vacuum
process is activated with a traditional heat seal vacuum
system, the unit continues to remove air until the
factory setting is reached. The preset features of many
heat sealed vacuum storage systems prevent delicate
items from being stored for this reason. ZipVac's
portable storage system is different. There is no preset
vacuum level that has been determined at the factory.
The user is in complete control of deciding exactly how
much air should be removed from the vacuum storage bag.
Whether with the hand held rechargeable pump or the
mechanical pump, the operator can decide exactly how
much air is to be removed from the vacuum food storage
bag.
There are several things to consider when attempting to
vacuum store items. The first is how delicate the item
is. One of the best features of vacuum storage is its
ability to compress items to one-third there original
size. This feature saves space in closets, shelves, and
freezers; but it can also have devastating effects if
the item to be stored is fragile. Utilizing the
following tips, ZipVac's portable vacuum storage system
can help store items that could never be stored with
traditional forms of heat seal vacuum systems.
Start each storage process by selecting a ZipVac vacuum
bag large enough to hold the item to be stored and yet
still allows room for the one valve on the front of the
storage bag not to come in contact with the item being
stored. Close the vacuum storage bag by gently pressing
down on the top right hand corner of the vacuum storage
bag. Gently slide a finger across the plastic zipper to
complete the closer. Next place the vacuum storage bag
on a flat surface with the cylinder shaped one way valve
facing up. Rotate the valve a quarter turn to the left
to open the valve. This allows air to be removed from
the vacuum storage bag. Gently push down on the areas
surrounding the item to be stored to remove excess air.
Next place the mouth of the vacuum pump over the one way
valve. By selecting a bag large enough, the mouth of the
ZipVac portable vacuum pump can be seated over the valve
without fear of damaging the item inside. Gently press
the button on the top of the rechargeable pump to start
the process of removing the air from the vacuum food
storage bag. Watch as the air is being removed to
insured that the delicate item doesn't become crushed.
The vacuum process can be stopped at any time by simply
letting go of the button of the portable vacuum pump.
Once the desired amount of air has been removed from the
vacuum storage bag, gently lift the portable vacuum pump
off the storage bag. ZipVac's one way valve insures that
air can return to the bag. To complete the storage
process, turn the cylinder spaced one way valve back one
quarter turn to the right. The ZipVac storage back now
has a double seal and your item is ready to be stored.
ZipVac storage bags come in a wide variety of sizes and
each has a plastic zippered top which allows the user to
instantly seen if the proper seal has been completed.
Whether the mechanical pump or the portable rechargeable
pump is used, the operator has complete control in
deciding exactly how much air is to be removed from the
bag.
