Thank You Chevy, Babe, Wollaston Lake Lodge and Brent Wenger for the opportunity of a lifetime! My name is Jon Schafman and I have loved to fish for as many of my 38 years as I can recall. My love for fishing is eclipsed by my love for my beautiful wife and three children. I work the standard 8-5 for a restaurant company called Happy Day Co making enough to hopefully keep fishing once the bread is on the table. I have been fishing since I was a boy mostly in the streams and lakes of northern Idaho. My focus was mostly on several trout species but I dabbled in chasing bass. When younger, some would have called it an obsession (to keep fishing I once used huckleberries to catch brookies when I had no money and nothing else left; yes they worked). I love the morning sun making its way through the trees surrounding a mountain lake and seeing the waters come alive with the morning feeding. I am looking forward to basking in the knowledge and experience of Babe and his crew while catching incredibly large and voracious fish (God willing)!
