I’m always the first to agree--there’s more to hunting and fishing than the amount of game and fish you see, catch or harvest by each outing’s end.
But let’s be honest. Who among us wouldn’t agree that seeing more and bigger bucks during deer hunting season for example, isn’t a ton more fun than only watching colorful sunrises…squirrels and birds hopping around all day long… or the full moon rising as highpoints to long days spent in the stand?
I’m sure we all concur-- at least half the fun of hunting is seeing that which we set out to find. And when we don’t, the experience isn’t nearly as exciting as when we do.
That’s why today, we’re gonna jump right into footage of two awesome Kansas bow hunts had by “Outdoor Secrets co-host Mike Weinkauf from 2005 and 2006—to thoroughly enjoy the almost ridiculous number of different whitetails he was able to encounter on some prime trophy acreage, owned and outfitted by our friends at Field Logic, near the town of Mound City.
Who’s counting when it comes to whitetail hunting? Well, just for the kicks, I guess today we are!
Tune in with us everyone because when this week, Mike Weinkauf will be quietly edging closer to the fulfillment of his Kansas whitetail dream.
