Smothered Fish

How Kris does it...

Hey everybody and welcome to my kitchen. This week I will be showing you a delightful dish of fish that’s simple to make and i know once you make it, your friends will be asking you for the recipe.

Add together some salt, pepper and a quarter cup of flour. Coat about 4 filets of fish with your mixture. You can use walleye or any other kind of white fish. Put about a cup and a half of milk into a shallow baking dish, then place the coated filets on top. You’ll want to put this into a 400 degree oven and bake it for about 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, in a fry pan, brown 4 slices of bacon until they’re nice and crisp. Once it’s cooked, set it aside and remove most of the grease. Then add some sliced onion into the pan and cook it until they’re nice and tender. It’s been about 10 minutes so we can take the fish out of the oven. Crumble the bacon onto the fish and then add your onion on top of that.

Put it back into the oven for another 5 to 10 minutes. With about 2 minutes of baking time left, you’ll want to add a few slices of swiss cheese.
