Mille Lacs Smallmouth    March 15, June 14

What more could you ask for...a small ocean sized lake in Mille Lac where we will be chasing huge smallies, and an ocean going fish in the cobia, which is my first attempt at them.

The smallies in Mille Lacs are a fairly recent phenamenon, but let me tell you, they are quite large in size and fight.

As you will see in this weeks show, there are size limits that have been put into place by the efforts of the Minnesota DNR and the local fishing industry. This fishery is going nowhere anytime soon.

Mille Lacs has always been a great fishery with walleyes and perch. So why not the smallmouth?

With the limits being only one fish over 21 inches, why wouldnt there be a near endless supply.?

Well, the numbers of 18-20 inchers is staggering. Along with BWP Prostaffer Ted Takasaki, I find myself in the middle of smallmouth heaven.

In part two of this weeks show, my wife Kris, daughter Karlee and myself go on an adventure to South Carolina for some hard fighting, hard hitting, heart throbbing top water action for the delicious cobia, so make sure you tune in!
