Dad & Daughter Bucketmouths   March 8, June 7

A typical landing at an out of the way Minnesota lake that holds some really nice largemouth bass.

It’s summer—a time when one of the best patterns going, in this neck of the woods, is deep weedline bass finessed with slowly-presented plastic worms.

But I ’m not talking just anywhere along the vast deep weed edge--only the highest percentage micro spots where largemouth bass hang out in search of food like humps, inside turns, points and transition areas.

I’ve been fishing this tiny lake for years, so believe me…I know its intricacies intimately.

Weedlines can be a difficult maze to figure out, because they’ll often cover the entire circumference of a lake and the edges of every shallow hump. Because working them with plastic worms is a slow, methodical presentation it’s impossible to fish the entire weedline, so narrowing down key areas is absolutely critical.  Stay with us to learn more.

Joining me this week is my daughter Mackenzie, this is our first fishing reunion in a few years, so make sure you join us and see if we can figure this lake out one more time.

Then later, join BWP prostaffer Ted Takasaki as he goes to Mille Lacs for one on one action for walleyes with a new slip bobber right that I suggest you all get your hands on.
