This lodge was established in 1993 by Stowe Samco, a fourth generation son of Knutson Ranchers. Since 1901, Knutsons have operated their cattle ranches along the White River, midway between Winner, SD and I-90. Pheasant hunters nationwide know Tripp County, South Dakota as the "Pheasant Capitol of the World", producing the greatest numbers of Chinese Ring Necks in the nation. With 15,000 acres of privately owned land located in the heart of pheasant country, we offer some of the best upland bird hunting available. With vast numbers of Pheasant, Grouse, Turkey, Geese, White Tail and Mule Deer, all your hunting needs will be met here.

Our deer hunting packages include lodging, meals and beverages, lodge amenities, field transportation and guide. Our success rates have been 92% for the past 10 years.

Tags are through a lottery draw and the cost is $155.00 and can be done online.  We hunt in stands, box stands, ladder stands, and tops of hills over the river bottom

We also offers specialty hunts for Merriman Wild Turkey, Sharp Tail Grouse, Prairie Chicken, Canadian Geese, & Ducks. Varmint specialty hunts available for Coyote, Fox & Prairie Dogs..
