Rio
Araca Lodge
Amazon Tours, Inc., owner and operator of the Rio Negro Lodge and
Amazon Queen, is proud to announce a new destination for world
class peacock bass fishing in Brazil - the Rio Aracá Lodge.
The new lodge is fully operational and ready to welcome guests.
The Aracá River was the set location for the Bass Pro Shops/Outdoor
World's TV program. During the taping of this show, Johnnie Morris
caught a huge 25.5 pound peacock bass while his two nephews' both
caught pending junior world records. This trip, along with other
fishing fly-outs to the area, demonstrated to Amazon Tours' owner
Philip Marsteller that this was a fishery with great potential.
There was only
one problem - it was located in such a remote area, it could only
be
reached by plane for day trips. With this in mind, the Rio Araca
Lodge
was born.
