Our resort has
been in operation since 1937. It
was first started by Frank Melgeorge
and is now captained by his son Ted.
This is a quaint,
well-established northern Minnesota
resort in the heart of lake country.
Elephant Lake offers good walleye
fishing and big crappies, but there
are dozens of other lakes in the
immediate vicinity that offer great
panfishing, tremendous smallmouth
Bass, Largemouth bass and Northern
Pike.
This is a very
reasonably priced fishing trip
where you bring your own boats
and equipment and explore on your
own. If you want meals at the lodge,
you’ll have to work with
their schedules, other than that
you’re on your own.
No, this is
not world-class fly-in fishing,
but rather a very good trip for
family and friends at very affordable
prices.
