There are three
things the owners, Shane and Chris Hayes, take pride in here
at this lodge, FISHING, ACCOMODATIONS
and SERVICE. As for fishing, limits
of walleye are a daily occurrence,
whether it be spring, summer or fall,
so be prepared to release a lot of
fish. Northern fishing is excellent
all summer. Bass fishing is better
in August and September. Lac Seul
has also produced Musky over 40 pounds.
Whether you're an avid fisherman
or a beginner, everyone likes action
and Lac Seul is definately an action
lake.
Lac Seul is approximately
100 miles long with over 700 square
miles of water. There are thousands
of miles of shoreline and hundreds
of islands, and reefs too numerous
to count. This is God's country and
the natural beauty of this lake is
spectacular. Of course, no fishing
trip is complete without a Canadian
shore lunch of fresh caught fish
prepared on an open fire
Shane and Chris’s
resort is quaintly located on a
small island in a massive Ontarian
lake. Walleye fishing is excellent,
smallmouth bass outstanding at
times, a fair population of big
pike and some giant Muskies.
I’ve
filmed here several times and have
had numerous 100 walleyes per boat
days. There is also the potential
for some jumbo eyes as well. I
know of one fish that tipped the
scales at over 15 lbs!!!
Whether you bring your own boat and cook your own meals, or go
totally American plan including equipment and first class guides,
this is an excellent destination. The people are warm and wonderful,
the prices very reasonable and the fishing very, very good. If
walleyes are your primary goal, then this is the trip for you!
