Eight hundred miles
southwest of Anchorage on Unalaska
Island in the heart of Alaska’s
Aleutian archipelago, The Grand Aleutian
Hotel welcomes you to the City of
Unalaska and the International Port
of Dutch Harbor. Whether your day
takes you into the icy waters of
the Bering Sea, across the flank
of Makushin Volcano, or through a
labyrinth of exotic seabird colonies,
you can always come home to “The
Grand.” Unwind in our lounge
by the fire, dine in our acclaimed
Chart Room restaurant, and enjoy
well-appointed accommodations…as
you prepare for the next day’s
adventure.
With over one hundred well-appointed guestrooms and suites, each
with a spectacular, expansive view of Margaret Bay, Ballyhoo Mountain,
or Unalaska Bay, The Grand Aleutian Hotel, reminiscent of a European
chalet, offers the latest in-room amenities.
Guest rooms are
available with your choice of one
king or two queen beds. Each large
Alaska-sized guest room is equipped
with a full bath, voice mail, built-in
hair dryer, extra vanity and sink,
cable television and HBO, in-room
coffee maker, and a desk with modem
access. Our two suites additionally
feature wet bars and refrigerators.
Accessible rooms are also available.
Throughout the
common areas and guestrooms, the
works of local and regional artists
capture Alaska’s landscape
and depict its rich culture and heritage.
The icy waters of the Bering Sea
provide a bounty for our chefs in
creating unique recipes with an international
flair. A sumptuous feast is prepared
every Wednesday night for the traditional
Seafood Buffet featuring local catch
such as king crab, halibut and salmon.
An elaborate Sunday Brunch is a local favorite and every Friday
night during the summer a BBQ is staged on the deck overlooking
Margaret Bay.
Seasons: Spring,
