This resort is
situated on the third largest island
in the United States, the enchanting
Prince of Wales Island, in a beautiful
sheltered cove in Southeast Alaska,
which is lavishly endowed with forests,
minerals, marine resources and a
stunning scenic splendor. We are
a family owned and operated lodge.
The Lodge offers five-star accommodations,
gourmet meals, dynamic salt and freshwater
fishing, crabbing, whale watching
or bear viewing and all is absolutely
World Class. The Lodge offers both
elegance and coziness and hosts a
maximum of 12 guest per evening from
early spring until late fall. Access
to the lodge is via boat or float
plane only.
Fly-fishermen will
find spring run steelhead, Dolly
Varden, and sea-run cutthroat eager
to take their fly. Spin casters will
need to brace themselves for a thrill
of a lifetime when these coho, chums
and pink nail their lures! Here you
not only have the finest river fishing,
but saltwater fishing for salmon,
bottom fish or halibut, along with
crabbing, only minutes from the lodge.
Everyone will thrill
at the sight of Humpback and Killer
Whales surfacing, bear catching salmon,
and majestic eagles soaring. Our
wildlife is unsurpassed!
The first day
I fished and filmed here, we set
crab pots in the morning on our
way to some incredible Silver Salmon
fishing. Upon returning that evening,
we checked the pots, hauled in
a mess of crabs and had them as
an appetizer for dinner that evening.
What a unique and tasty surprise
that was!
The lodge is
all made from native logs by the
couple that owns and operates the
lodge and it is first class. The
food was even better and the fishing
is great. Depending on the time
of the year, they offer Salmon
and Trout fishing in rivers and
the ocean as well as bottom fishing
for Halibut, Rock cod and others.
This is not
a huge lodge, but a smaller family
ran operation that caters to a
few guests at a time and makes
a point of spoiling them. If you’re
looking for a great Alaskan fishing
experience with all the amenities
and scenery, then this is a great
choice.
